The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reached a resolution regarding the Borgata Winter Poker Open counterfeit chips fiasco at last. Eminent Domain Buy Considered

Controversy Over Secret Partners

You can imagine how lucrative a casino that is massive in Chicago could become. It’s been a fantasy of many for decades now, though never ever one which has come anywhere near fruition. But politicians from the rest of the continuing state are predictably dubious of any plan that would expand gambling just in the city.
‘The purpose [of gambling expansion] was to help economically troubled communities,’ said state Representative Chad Hays (R-Catlin). ‘ I would suggest that downstate taking the leftover crumbs from Chicago is a laughable assertion that no downstater would bite on.’
A Word from the Mayor
Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer also weighed in against A chicago-only plan.
‘The possibility to add downstate job creation and revenue growth far outweighs some great benefits of a license that is chicago-only’ said Eisenhauer, who also planned to go to the hearings.
Representatives from social groups spoke at the hearings to express that they were worried about the impact a massive casino would have on the state. Meanwhile, other casinos worried that a venue that is large Chicago would harm their businesses. And the horse industry that is racing both the single-casino and broader expansion plans, while they want much more slots available at their tracks.
With so opposition that is much across the state, many lawmakers believe that only a broader gambling bill has any possibility of success.
